Osimhen Faces Potential Surgery After Arm Injury

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker for Galatasaray, arrived in Istanbul on Sunday night to undergo a medical scan on his arm injury. This injury occurred during the UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool FC at Anfield, where he was forced off in the first half after a challenge from Ibrahima Konaté.

Subsequent medical checks confirmed a fracture in his right forearm. Galatasaray's medical team will evaluate the extent of the injury and decide on the next steps, including whether surgery is required.

The club is anxious about the outcome, as Osimhen could be sidelined for three to five months. He has been a key player for Galatasaray, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions this season, including seven goals and three assists in 10 Champions League matches.

Due to the injury, he will miss Nigeria's friendly matches against Jordan and Iran.
