Osimhen Undergoes Surgery, Out for Four Weeks After Injury

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Galatasaray, underwent successful surgery on March 23 after suffering a forearm fracture during a UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool. The injury occurred due to an aerial collision with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté.

Despite receiving treatment, Osimhen's condition worsened, leading to his substitution at halftime. Galatasaray confirmed that he is expected to be out for approximately four weeks, which poses a significant setback for the team's attacking strategy at a crucial stage of the season.

The 27-year-old has been in fine form, recording 19 goals and seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions, including three goals and assists in the Champions League. His absence will also be felt in the Nigerian national team, as he has been excluded from the squad for upcoming friendlies against Jordan, Iran, and Turkey.
