Osinachi Ohale Signs with Como 1907 After Pachuca Exit

Osinachi Ohale, a 34-year-old former Super Falcons defender, has signed with Italian club Como 1907 on a free transfer after her departure from Mexican club Pachuca. During her three-year tenure at Pachuca, she made 81 league appearances and scored six goals.

Ohale previously played for AS Roma in 2020 and is eager to start this new chapter in Como, stating, “I’m happy to return to Italy and embark on this new experience here in Como.” Como 1907 Women’s Technical Director Nils Nielsen praised Ohale's experience, noting her 15 years of international representation for Nigeria, including multiple captaincies and five Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles. Nielsen emphasized that her defensive skills, including positioning, one-on-one marking, and aerial strength, will be beneficial for the team.

Ohale began her professional career in Nigeria in 2008 and has played in various countries, including the United States, Sweden, Spain, and Mexico. She announced her retirement from international football in September.
