Osinbajo to Unveil Bayelsa's Agbura Oxbow Lake Road

Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to unveil the completed Agbura Oxbow Lake Road project in Bayelsa State on Monday, April 20, 2026. This project is anticipated to serve as a bypass for residents of Agbura and Ogbia communities, facilitating access for motorists to Nemb beyond the bustling Swali Market.

The road's completion is seen as a significant boost to the economic development of the area. A temporary closure of the Mose Teibowei Road will occur from 6:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, to allow for thorough cleaning and final preparations ahead of the commissioning ceremony.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period. The Bayelsa State chapter of the Progressive Congress has warmly welcomed Osinbajo's visit, urging residents to attend the inauguration and support the ongoing development efforts led by Governor Douy Diri.
