Osinbajo Praises Bayelsa's Development Under Diri

On Tuesday, during a grand reception in Oporoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo shared his emotional reflections on the development of Bayelsa State. He acknowledged the impressive progress made under Governor Douye Diri's administration, particularly highlighting the completion of a 630-meter bridge and a hospital in Oporoma.

Osinbajo recalled his visit to the state on February 19, 2022, for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Angiama Oporoma Bridge project, expressing initial doubts about the area's development potential. However, he commended Governor Diri for proving him wrong by ensuring the project's completion, which he noted would significantly improve access and reduce travel time for the community.

Osinbajo also referenced the hospital's inauguration, which had been a long-awaited initiative since 1973, emphasizing the positive impact of these developments on the people of Bayelsa.
