Osinbajo Celebrates Bayelsa's Development Progress

On Monday, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo inaugurated a road and hospital in Oporoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, expressing that Bayelsa's development is emotional for him. He commended Governor Douye Diri for his efforts in completing the 630-meter Angiama Oporoma Bridge, which he initially doubted would be completed.

Osinbajo recalled his visit on February 19, 2022, for the groundbreaking ceremony and noted the importance of the projects in reducing travel time and improving access for the community. He highlighted the hospital's inauguration, which had been a promise since 1973, and praised Diri's administration for its commitment to people-oriented projects.

Osinbajo emphasized the need for continued infrastructure development in Bayelsa and expressed optimism for the state's future under Diri's leadership. He also acknowledged the support of President Bola Tinubu for the projects and the importance of healthcare accessibility in the region.
