Osinbajo Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects in Bayelsa

On Monday, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo inaugurated two significant infrastructure projects in Bayelsa State: the Agbura Oxbow Lake Road and the Angiama Oporoma Bridge. The bridge, spanning 630 meters across the River Nun, connects the headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and was flagged off by Osinbajo at the invitation of Governor Douye Diri in 2022.

During the inauguration, Osinbajo commended Diri for embarking on transformative projects that enhance connectivity to various government facilities, including the NCDMB tower, Federal Secretariat, and CBN headquarters. He emphasized the importance of these projects in providing job opportunities for local youth and improving transport access for riverine communities.

Osinbajo noted the historical significance of the bridge and road, recalling his previous visit four years ago when the bridge's construction was uncertain. The projects are expected to open new economic opportunities and facilitate easier transport in the region.
