Najeem Salaam, the candidate for the African Democratic Congress in the Osun State governorship election, has pledged to prioritize stable electricity supply if elected. During a political program on Oro Oselu aired on Unique FM Ilesa, Salaam highlighted the ongoing electricity challenges affecting homes and businesses in the state.

He stated that stable electricity is essential for economic growth, industrial expansion, and youth employment, and is crucial for the survival of small and medium-scale businesses. He emphasized that the people of Osun deserve leadership that is driven by a vision for peace and practical solutions to restore quality governance and sustainable development. The upcoming election will see Salaam contest against the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, who has unveiled a 5-point agenda focused on worker welfare, education, infrastructure development, and security.
