Adeleke Cuts Osun Domestic Debt to N83.32bn by 2025

Akogun Kamorudeen Oyewumi, the Director General of the IMOL Campaign Council, announced that Governor Ademola Adeleke has successfully reduced Osun State's domestic debt from N148 billion in December 2022 to N83.32 billion in the first quarter of 2025. This reduction reflects a significant financial improvement under Adeleke's administration.

Additionally, Oyewumi reported a decrease in external debt from $91.78 million in 2022 to $75.14 million in 2025, marking a 43.84 percent reduction. Internal revenue also saw a substantial increase from N24.47 billion in 2022 to N58.7 billion in 2025, representing a 139.89 percent jump.

Oyewumi emphasized the administration's commitment to improving the state's financial health and infrastructure, highlighting the construction of major roads and flyovers. He also noted the administration's efforts to implement the national minimum wage without leading to industrial action, showcasing a focus on good governance and economic stability.
