APC Names Lekan Olatunji as Oyebamiji's Running Mate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially named former lawmaker Lekan Olatunji as the running mate for Bola Oyebamiji, who is the party's governorship candidate for the upcoming 2026 Osun State elections. This announcement was confirmed on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State, which published the names of candidates from various political parties for the governorship and deputy governorship positions.

Lekan Olatunji, an indigene of Edunabon town, previously represented the Ife North State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly from 2019 to 2023. During his tenure, he served as the Chief Whip and was involved in coordinating legislative business while maintaining party discipline within the House.

The decision to select Olatunji followed consultations with stakeholders across the state.
