APC Selects Adereti as Oyebamiji's Running Mate for 2026

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially selected Benjamin Kayod Adereti as the running mate for its gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, in the upcoming elections scheduled for August 15, 2026. Adereti's name appears alongside Oyebamiji's in the final list of candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Adereti, a politician who previously contested for a House of Representatives seat in 2023 but lost to the incumbent, is a Christian and a professional engineer. President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his support for Oyebamiji's candidacy ahead of the elections, following a meeting in Abuja where Oyebamiji described the engagement as productive.

He expressed appreciation for Tinubu's continued leadership and commitment to the progress of the APC in Osun State, emphasizing the need for unity and sustained development as the elections approach.
