Oyebamiji Claims Tinubu's Anointing for Osun 2026

Bola Oyebamiji, a candidate for the Osun State governorship election on August 15, 2026, asserted that he is the only candidate anointed by President Bola Tinubu. He made this claim during the inauguration of a canvassing strategy aimed at mobilizing grassroots support across the state’s 332 wards and 30 local government areas.

Oyebamiji dismissed reports suggesting that President Tinubu had endorsed the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, labeling such claims as false and part of a propaganda effort to mislead voters. He emphasized the importance of fair and transparent governance and assured that his administration would prioritize equitable resource distribution.

The event was attended by various APC leaders and stakeholders, including his running mate, Benjamin Kayod Adereti, and other notable figures such as Ganiyu Ajiboy and Sulaiman Oladoy Salawu, who pledged their support for the campaign.
