Adeleke Launches Campaign Committee for Osun 2026 Election

On Wednesday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke inaugurated a 52-member campaign committee to spearhead his re-election campaign for the upcoming governorship poll scheduled for August 15. During the inauguration, Adeleke expressed his confidence in the committee's ability to successfully deliver the mandate needed to secure a second term in office.

He emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication, recalling the party's victory in the 2022 governorship election. The committee will be chaired by Prof.

Wale Oladipo, a former national secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and current chair of the governing council at Osun State University. Other notable appointments include Sen.

Lere Oyewumi as deputy director-general and Kolapo Alimi as deputy director-general of the campaign. Pelumi Olajengbesi will serve as the spokesperson, while Bola Ajao will act as the committee's secretary.

The PDP chairman in Osun, Princ Diran Odeyemi, and Sundai Bisi, a nephew of the governor, are also part of the committee.
