PWDs Call for Inclusive Voting in Osun State Elections

During the recent elections in Osun State, Mrs. Justina Obozokhai, a wheelchair user, successfully voted at Ilare III, Ward III, Unit 011, in Ife Central Local Government Area. Following her experience, she advocated for improved voting accessibility from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a more inclusive electoral process for persons with disabilities across Nigeria.

Obozokhai expressed her commitment to civic participation, highlighting that her education and understanding of the democratic process motivated her to vote despite her physical challenges. She also called for greater employment opportunities and recognition for people with disabilities, asserting that their education, abilities, and willingness to contribute are valuable assets for societal development.
