Chaos Erupts at APC Stakeholders' Meeting in Osun

During a stakeholders' meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, chaos erupted due to the actions of supporters of various aspirants, as stated by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. The meeting, which was initially scheduled for 10 AM but moved to 2 PM for better attendance, was disrupted by armed men who reportedly invaded the party secretariat in Akure.

Eyewitness Yetund Adeyanju claimed that the attack was orchestrated on behalf of Aiyedatiwa, leading to injuries among several party leaders, including state party chairman Adetimehin and others who were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Aiyedatiwa emphasized the need for security around the secretariat and urged the police to ensure adequate protection.

He called on party members to remain calm and united ahead of the ward congress. Margaret Araruenu, the chairman of the ward congress committee, expressed confidence in the peaceful execution of the congress despite the disturbances.
