APC Rejects Adeleke's Claims of Political Victimization

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims made by Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke regarding political victimization, labeling them as unfounded. In a statement signed by Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the APC urged Adeleke to concentrate on the issues surrounding the forthcoming election.

During a campaign rally in Osogbo, Adeleke, who is seeking re-election on the Accord Party platform, accused President Bola Tinubu and former Governor Gboyega Oyetola of orchestrating political persecution against him. He expressed concerns about police conduct and emphasized the need for a credible electoral process for the August 15 election.

The APC countered that Adeleke failed to provide evidence for his allegations and questioned the relevance of his endorsement of Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election to the Osun governorship poll. The party expressed confidence in its candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, and called for a focus on campaigning rather than allegations of victimization.
