Alaju Community Seeks Support for Palm Oil Production

The Alaju community in Osun State is calling for government and private sector support to enhance its palm oil production capabilities. Oba Sulaimon Adebayo, the royal father of Alaju, stated that with the right support, the community could produce quality palm oil for both local consumption and export.

He highlighted the importance of establishing cottage industries to add value to the palm oil commodity. The community aims to improve its agricultural output, which is a major occupation for its residents, and believes that proper government support and private investment could significantly boost production capacity.

Additionally, Oba Adebayo pointed out the need for improvements in basic amenities, such as schools, hospitals, and road networks, to facilitate industrial development and ensure a peaceful coexistence among residents during the annual Eid celebrations.
