Osun Muslims Urge Tinubu for Fair Political Representation

The Concerned Muslim Stakeholders League in Osun State, represented by Sheikh Qozeem Abdul Rahaman and Mallam Abdulgani Sahid Olaid Ezra, has expressed concerns regarding the political representation of Muslims in Nigeria, particularly in the Southwest region. During a Ramadan lecture, they urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to uphold principles of fairness and equity in political appointments, highlighting the absence of a single Muslim governor in the entire Southwest.

They emphasized the importance of ensuring that the voices of Muslim communities are adequately represented, especially in the context of the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Osun State. The stakeholders pledged their support for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, asserting that he is a reliable Muslim leader deserving of their unequivocal backing.

The event also included the distribution of Ramadan packages, which they noted as a significant initiative reflecting goodwill towards the Muslim community.
