INEC Reports Polling Units Opened for Osun Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that 3,556 polling units out of a total of 3,763 in Osun State were operational by 8:30 am on Saturday for the governorship election. INEC shared this information in an election situation report on its official X handle.

It noted that 207 polling units, which accounted for 5.5 percent, experienced minor delays but were fully operational by 9:00 am. Additionally, INEC confirmed that the activation of the Registration Area Centres (RACs) for the election was completed at 100 percent by 6:09 pm on Friday, covering all 332 RACs across the state.

The commission assessed that both the RAC activation and polling unit opening processes were conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and timely manner.
