INEC Reports 94.5% Polling Units Opened in Osun

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that 3,556 out of 3,763 polling units in Osun State opened by 8:30 am on Saturday for the governorship election, representing 94.5% of the total polling units. INEC noted that 207 polling units, accounting for 5.5%, experienced delays in opening but were operational by 9:00 am.

The activation of Registration Area Centres (RACs) across the state was completed 100% by 6:09 pm on Friday, with all 332 RACs activated ahead of the election. INEC assessed that both the RAC activation and polling unit opening processes were conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and timely manner.

The governorship election allows voters to choose the candidate who will lead Osun State for the next term.
