Ila Orangun Monarch Denies Endorsing Adeleke's Candidacy

Oba Abdulwahab Adedotun, the monarch of Ila Orangun, issued a statement distancing himself from claims that he endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term ahead of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State. He emphasized that the palace remains neutral and non-partisan, labeling the purported endorsement as null and void.

The monarch expressed surprise upon learning that a delegation, led by High Chief Elemo Ejemu Odod and Chief Dougla Oyinlola, visited the governor without his knowledge or sanction. He clarified that the actions of the delegation do not represent the position of the entire Ila Orangun community and warned against misrepresenting the royal stance.

The Oba acknowledged the contributions of Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi in facilitating development projects in the region and urged politicians to prioritize unity and growth over partisan interests.
