INEC Clears 14 Parties for Osun Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that 14 political parties have successfully uploaded the required documents for their governorship candidates in the upcoming Osun state election. The announcement was made by Musa Olurod on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mutiu Agbok.

The compliant parties include AA, AAC, ADC, ADP, APGA, APC, APM, APP, BP, NNPP, PRP, YPP, and ZLP. The candidates' details, including their forms EC9 and academic credentials, will be displayed at INEC's state headquarters in Abuja and local government offices across Osun State.

Public inspection of these documents will commence on February 16, 2026. INEC emphasized its commitment to transparency and professionalism in conducting credible elections, reassuring stakeholders of its adherence to the Electoral Act 2022.
