INEC Releases Final Candidate List for Osun Guber Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially released the final list of candidates for the upcoming governorship election in Osun State, set for August 8, 2026. This announcement was made by Musa Olurod, the spokesman for INEC's public relations office in Osun.

The list includes candidates from 14 political parties, but notably, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) are missing from this final compilation. The participating parties, as stated, include the Action Alliance (AA), African Action Congress (AAC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Action Democratic Party (ADP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), All Progressives Congress (APC), Allied People's Movement (APM), Action People's Party (APP), Boot Party (BP), New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), People's Redemption Party (PRP), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

The final list was released in accordance with the timeline set by the commission, following the successful completion of primaries by the respective parties.
