INEC Releases Final Candidate List for Osun 2026 Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially released the final list of candidates for the upcoming 2026 Osun Governorship Election. Notably, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) are absent from this list.

According to a statement issued by INEC's public relations office in Osun State, the parties included in the final list are Action Alliance (AA), African Action Congress (AAC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Action Democratic Party (ADP), Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Progressive Congress (APC), Allied People's Movement (APM), Action People's Party (APP), Boot Party (BP), New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), People's Redemption Party (PRP), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP). The election is scheduled to take place on August 8, 2026.
