INEC Publishes Candidates for Osun Guber Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the publication of candidates' details for the forthcoming Osun State governorship election. Musa Olurod, the INEC Public Affairs Officer, issued a statement confirming that 14 political parties successfully uploaded the required documents for their candidates within the stipulated timeframe.

Dr. Mutiu Agbok, the INEC Commissioner, verified that the parties complied with the necessary regulatory requirements as per Section 29(3) of the Electoral Act 2022.

The list of compliant parties includes AA, AAC, ADC, ADP, APGA, APC, APM, APP, BP, NNPP, PRP, YPP, and ZLP. The candidates' forms (EC9) and supporting academic credentials will be displayed at INEC's state office and across its local government offices for public inspection starting Monday, February 16, 2026.

Agbok reassured stakeholders of the commission's commitment to conducting credible elections in accordance with the law and best democratic practices.
