Atiku Abubakar Rallies Support for ADC in Osun Election

On Monday, August 15, 2023, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed a rally at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo, Osun State. He appealed to voters to support the ADC's governorship candidate, Dr Najeem Salam, in the upcoming election.

Atiku highlighted his historical ties with the people of Osun, recalling their previous support during his political campaigns, including for the incumbent governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. He expressed gratitude for their past backing and urged them to vote for the ADC, stating, "I believe you will not regret voting ADC." Senator David Mark, the ADC National Chairman, encouraged voters to ensure their votes counted and warned against electoral manipulation.

Former Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, emphasized the party's commitment to public service and restoring confidence in governance. The rally showcased significant enthusiasm among supporters, bolstering Atiku's confidence in the ADC's prospects.
