Osun JUSUN and Lawyer Clash Over Registrar's Arrest

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in Osun State is embroiled in a dispute following the arrest and detention of court Registrar Ademiju Oyewole. Lawyer Yomi Aliyu alleged that individuals unlawfully accessed court premises at night, compromising judicial processes.

He described the situation as a serious breach, claiming that the actions of Osun JUSUN Chairman Idri Adebayo Adeniran were outside legal boundaries. Aliyu urged for due process and a proper investigation into the matter.

However, JUSUN strongly rejected these allegations, labeling them as sensationalist and factually bankrupt. Adeniran denied any wrongdoing by his members, asserting that there was no invasion of the registrar's office and that the registrar was performing official duties with the knowledge and approval of the presiding judge, Justice Okediya.

JUSUN maintained that staff often work beyond official hours to meet deadlines, and security personnel present did not report any criminal activity. The union described the claims as scare tactics and insisted that no wrongdoing occurred.
