Osun LG Crisis: NULGE Chairman Orders Workers to Return to Work

In Osun State, the factional chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) ordered workers to resume duties, citing the prolonged strike as unwarranted. Adekunle, addressing the press, expressed concerns over the safety of the local government council secretariat, urging workers to return to work.

The strike, ongoing since March 2025 due to political clashes, was deemed unnecessary, with Adekunle emphasizing that insecurity should not hinder operations. The factional leader criticized the previous call for a strike, citing political legitimacy disputes as the root cause.

Adekunle urged workers to ignore political distractions and resume their duties for the betterment of the local government system.
