Osun Monarch Appeals to Tinubu for Key Infrastructure Projects

Oba Abdulwaheed Babatunde Adekunle, the Elende of Eko-Ende, appealed to President Bola Tinubu to complete the Eko-Ende bridge over the Ilie River and reconstruct the Ikirun-Ogbomoso road. This request aims to boost the economy of Osun, Oyo, and Kwara states.

The appeal was made during an inspection of the abandoned bridge, which was initiated under former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration. The bridge's abandonment has severely impacted local communities, including Eko-Ende, Ore, Ilie, Iregba, and Iresa, which rely on the road for transportation of people and goods.

Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, the APC candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, along with Dr Mulikat Jimoh, the APC candidate for Ifelodun State Constituency, assured the monarch that they would communicate the infrastructure challenges to President Tinubu. Adegoke expressed confidence in the Tinubu administration's commitment to addressing these issues, emphasizing their importance for the regional economy.
