Senator Ajagunla Rejoins PDP, Eyes 2027 Elections

Senator Olubiyi Ajagunla, who represents the Osun Central Senatorial District, has officially returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after resigning from the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Osun State Chapter of the PDP, led by Chairman Hon Sunday Bisi, described Ajagunla's return as a courageous and timely homecoming.

Bisi stated that this move reflects the growing discontent within the APC, which he claims has become inhospitable to principled politicians. Ajagunla's return is significant as he is the PDP's Senatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections, reinforcing the party's strategic preparations for upcoming electoral contests.

Bisi expressed confidence that Ajagunla's experience and grassroots appeal would enhance the PDP's quest for good governance in Osun State. He also noted a trend of politicians leaving the APC due to its disregard for loyalty and democratic values, citing Hon Rabiu Adesina's recent departure as an example.
