Osun PDP Slams INEC Chair Over Doubts on Election Technology Reliability

The Osun State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan for expressing doubts about the reliability of election technology.

The PDP slammed his comments as careless and warned they could create fear and undermine public confidence in the electoral process. The remarks were made during the annual National Stakeholders Forum on Elections organized by the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room in Abuja.

The PDP emphasized the importance of technology in ensuring free, fair, and credible elections in Nigeria, highlighting the need for a legal framework to deploy such innovations. Osun PDP Chairman Sundai Bisi demanded an apology from the INEC chairman and insisted on the importance of maintaining electoral credibility.
