Osun Police Arrest Suspected Burglar and Receiver in Ibadan

The Osun State Police Command arrested 27-year-old Eyelade Anuoluwa in Ibadan, Oyo State, following a burglary that occurred on July 26, 2026, resulting in stolen items valued at N3 million. The stolen goods included two laptops, an iPhone 12, an Android phone, power banks, and recharge cards.

Police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi stated that the arrest was made possible through intelligence gathered by operatives from the Ilesa Area Command, who transferred Anuoluwa to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation. During interrogation, Anuoluwa confessed to the crime and revealed he had sold part of the stolen items to a receiver in Oyo State.

Subsequently, 28-year-old Abdullah Musa was arrested for purchasing the stolen iPhone 12 for N25,000. Investigators suspect Musa is part of a larger syndicate dealing in stolen electronics.

Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, commended the operatives for their intelligence-led investigation and stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other accomplices and recover the remaining stolen items.
