Osun Police Vow Justice for Emir Ajagungbade's Murder

The Osun State Police Command has committed to ensuring justice for Olalekan Oyeyemi, also known as “Emir Ajagungbade,” who was fatally shot in Ile-Ife. The incident occurred on a Sunday near the Energy filling station, where police officers were dispatched following reports of a road traffic accident.

Upon arrival, they confirmed that Oyeyemi had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Abiodun Ojelabi, the public relations officer of the command, stated that a full-scale investigation has been initiated to uncover the causes of the attack and to track down the perpetrators.

Police Commissioner Ibrahim Zungura condemned the killing and appealed to the community to remain calm, warning against any form of reprisal violence or criminality. He expressed condolences to Oyeyemi's family and friends and emphasized the police's commitment to maintaining peace and protecting lives.

The police also encouraged the public to provide information to assist in the ongoing investigation.
