Adeleke's Camp Denies Political Deal with Tinubu

The Imole Campaign Council, representing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, refuted claims of a political agreement with President Bola Tinubu concerning Adeleke's endorsement of Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election. Spokesperson Pelumi Olajengbesi stated that Adeleke's support stemmed from Tinubu's performance and reforms, not a pre-arranged deal.

This response followed comments from Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who congratulated Adeleke on his re-election and referred to an "agreement" between the two. Olajengbesi emphasized that the endorsement should not undermine the choice of Osun voters in the August 15 governorship election, where Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, won with 511,067 votes against Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who received 444,815 votes.

Adeleke reaffirmed his support for Tinubu, calling him a son of Osun State, while Keyamo praised Adeleke's integrity.
