Adeleke Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Re-election Bid

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027 during an interview with Channels Television. He emphasized that his support is based on Tinubu's ongoing reforms and infrastructure projects in the Southwest region.

Adeleke, who recently secured victory in the August 15 Osun State governorship election, dismissed claims of any political agreement with Tinubu, stating, “No, I never reached an agreement with Mr President.” He expressed that his support is motivated by their shared Yoruba heritage and the need for continued development in the region. Adeleke confirmed his intention to play an active role in Tinubu's campaign, stating, “Big time, I will,” and expressed willingness to collaborate with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including supporters of former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The Imole Campaign Council also denied any political bargain, asserting that Adeleke's endorsement stems from an assessment of Tinubu's performance.
