Davido Alerts Accord Party of Alleged Arrest Plot in Osun

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, raised concerns regarding an alleged plan to arrest members of the Accord Party ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for Saturday. In a post on his official X handle on Thursday, Davido urged party members and supporters to remain vigilant and safe, asserting that the Accord Party, which supports his uncle, the incumbent Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, is on track for victory.

He stated, “Accord members, stay safe! Just got intel, the next few hours they want to start arresting our people for nothing!

The plan cannot work! Stay safe!

Mount your guard! We are coasting to victory.” This statement comes amid heightened security concerns and political tensions in Osun State, with allegations of violence and intimidation among political supporters.

Governor Adeleke has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of using federal institutions to intimidate his supporters, a claim the APC has denied. As of the report's filing, there was no official response from police or security agencies regarding Davido's allegations.
