Davido Claims Victory for Uncle in Osun Governorship Election

Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, asserted that his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, the current Governor of Osun State, is ahead in the ongoing governorship election. Through social media posts during the vote counting, Davido claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had lost in the ward of former Osun State Governor Bisi Akande.

He expressed confidence in Adeleke's victory, stating, “Shame APC. Osun no be Edo!” Davido, who has actively supported Adeleke, called on Osun residents to stay vigilant against alleged plans by former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

He urged the public to resist any attempts to undermine the election process, emphasizing, “Na we get Osogbo! Imole ti woleeeee.” Additionally, he requested that security agencies remain present at electoral locations, stating, “We are winning, guys!
