Osun Senator Fadeyi Backs Tinubu After Primary Loss

Olubiyi Fadeyi, the current senator representing Osun Central, has expressed his support for Bola Tinubu's candidacy for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket following his defeat in the 2027 senatorial primary. Fadeyi lost the primary to Adekunle Adegoke, who scored 472,806 votes, while Fadeyi did not secure the ticket.

In a statement made public on Friday, Fadeyi called for unity and loyalty among APC members, stressing the importance of collective responsibility among stakeholders to strengthen the party. He described Tinubu as a visionary leader committed to national development and democratic values.

Fadeyi urged party delegates to support Tinubu during the presidential primary, asserting that a united front would enhance the APC's chances of maintaining leadership at the national level. He expressed optimism that the APC would emerge stronger from the primaries and continue to fulfill its promises to Nigerians.
