Adeleke Urges Vote Protection During Osun Election Collation

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State and the Accord Party governorship candidate, commended residents for their significant turnout in the recent governorship election held on Saturday. He called on security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain vigilant as the collation of results commenced.

In a statement on X, Adeleke emphasized the paramount importance of the safety and protection of the people, stating, “Against all odds, the people of Osun State have turned out in large numbers and are speaking with one voice.” He praised the security agencies deployed for the election and urged them to maintain vigilance as results transition from polling units to wards and local government areas. Adeleke also called on INEC to uphold the highest standards of integrity throughout the electoral process, expressing confidence in the professionalism of the institutions involved.

He encouraged residents to remain peaceful and committed to the democratic process, stating, “Let the people’s will prevail.”.
