Igbuzor Launches Book, Urges Political Participation for 2027

On Sunday in Abuja, Dr. Otive Igbuzor presented his book titled “Radical Sermon and Liberation Theology” at the 3rd annual Otivism lecture. The event featured prominent civil society leaders, development experts, and government officials who urged Nigerians to actively participate in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Dr. Izu warned that if responsible citizens do not engage in politics, unqualified individuals such as touts and gangsters may continue to lead the nation. He stressed the importance of leadership participation and the need to combat corruption in public service.

Prof. Abiodun, Vice-Chancellor of Baze University, echoed that while electoral participation is not mandatory, those who abstain should not complain about elected leaders. He expressed hope for a more responsible electorate in 2027, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in the electoral process to achieve meaningful development in Nigeria.
