Otu Strengthens Partnership with Nigerian Navy for Security

On a recent visit to Calabar, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State expressed his administration's commitment to strengthening security collaboration with the Nigerian Navy. He emphasized that security is foundational for development and that peace and stability are prerequisites for progress.

Otu acknowledged the sacrifices and discipline of the Navy, particularly in the maritime corridor, and highlighted the need for synergy in security efforts, stating that it is a shared responsibility requiring cooperation and trust. Commodore Shuaibu, who recently assumed command, noted the importance of the Navy's operational capabilities and the need to address evolving security challenges.

He expressed gratitude for the support from the state government, which enhances the Navy's ability to discharge its duties effectively. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of continuous engagement to ensure operational effectiveness and to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Cross River State.
