Former SDP Governorship Candidate, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Passes Away - Nigerian Political Community Mourns

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, the former Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for the 2024 election, has passed away at his residence in Victoria Garden City (VGC). A renowned philanthropist and businessman, Akingboye was the president of WeAfrica Group and CEO of Benshore Maritime Clog Oil Systems.

His death was confirmed by his aide, Oyeniyi Iwakun. The SDP expressed deep sorrow over his demise, describing him as a dedicated leader and philanthropist.

Akingboye's death comes shortly after the passing of Ahmed Aliyu Mustapha, a former Nigeria Customs Service official. The Nigerian political community mourns the loss of these prominent figures.
