Over 4.4m Nigerians Pre-register for Ongoing Voter Registration Exercise

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revealed that over 4.4 million Nigerians have pre-registered for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise within four weeks. The exercise, which includes online and physical registration, saw a significant number of participants, with a breakdown showing percentages of male and female registrants.

INEC noted that students were leading in registrations, with a high percentage falling within the age range of 18-34. The detailed distribution of registrations by state, gender, age, occupation, and disability has been uploaded on the INEC website.

The online registration phase ended on September 15, with physical registration continuing at designated venues.
