Kaduna Flood Displaces 500+ Households, Damages 171 Homes

Over 500 households were displaced and 171 houses damaged in Kaduna State due to flooding after two days of heavy rainfall. The Kaduna North Local Government Area was severely affected, with Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency leading assessments and coordinating response efforts.

The downpour on September 4-5 forced urgent evacuations as floodwaters submerged homes and properties. The affected communities included Rifin Guza, Kabala Costain, and Tudun Wada.

Response teams from various agencies, including NEMA and NSCDC, worked to assist those impacted by the floods, emphasizing the need for emergency support and relief efforts in the affected areas.
