Nigeria-Türkiye Trade Expansion Targeted at $5 Billion

Dele Oye, the chairman of the Nigeria-Türkiye Business Council (NTBC), spearheaded an investment initiative alongside H.E. Mehmet Poroy, the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, aimed at enhancing economic collaboration between Nigeria and Türkiye. The strategic engagements took place across northern Nigeria, including discussions at the Kano Chamber of Commerce. The primary goal is to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion and boost investment flows, thereby unlocking new business opportunities across various sectors. Oye emphasized NTBC's commitment to facilitating business linkages and announced plans for a formal collaboration through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kano Chamber of Commerce. This initiative marks a significant step towards deepening the economic ties between Nigeria and Türkiye, with Kano identified as a major hub for enterprise investment.
