Governor Oyebanji Mourns Senator Adeniyi's Passing

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji expressed deep sorrow over the death of Senator Anthony Ademuyiwa Adeniyi, a distinguished lawyer and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who represented the Ekiti South Senatorial District from 2011 to 2015. In a statement released on Wednesday, Oyebanji's special adviser on media, Yinka Oyebode, described Adeniyi's death as a tremendous loss to Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole, particularly to the legal profession.

Governor Oyebanji acknowledged Adeniyi's significant contributions to constitutional and electoral reforms, as well as his role in improving judicial independence and telecommunications services during his tenure. Adeniyi was also noted for his leadership as chairman of the Akure branch of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1990 to 1992 and as a member of the association's national executive committee.

The governor praised Adeniyi's legacy of selfless service and extended condolences to his family, urging them to find comfort in the good name and enduring legacy he left behind.
