Oyebanji's Re-election Shows APC's Strength in Ekiti

Biodun Oyebanji has been re-elected as the governor of Ekiti State, marking a significant achievement for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and reflecting public confidence in its leadership. The South-West APC, through its representative Ayobami Afolabi, described Oyebanji's re-election as unprecedented, highlighting that he emerged as the overall winner in the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, defeating candidates from 13 registered political parties.

The APC secured approximately 90 percent of the total votes cast across the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State. Afolabi noted that this victory demonstrates the Nigerian populace's appreciation for the quality of leadership provided by Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu, despite opposition challenges.

The APC expressed gratitude to the people of Ekiti for enabling the party to retain power and urged them to increase voter turnout in future elections. The upcoming elections in Osun State are anticipated to provide another opportunity for voters to engage with mainstream politics.
