Oyo APC Aspirant Sharafadeen Alli Advocates Direct Primaries

Sharafadeen Alli, a current representative of Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly and an aspirant for the Oyo APC governorship, announced his readiness to conduct direct primaries to select the party's governorship candidate. This declaration was made during a stakeholders' meeting held at Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Alli stated that he and other aspirants would resist the imposition of candidates and insisted on a selection process that is free, fair, and transparent. He called for unity among APC members and urged them to mobilize support for the party's candidates.

The meeting was attended by notable APC chieftains, including Senator Ayo Adeseun, Remi Oseni, and Segun Odebunmi, who expressed their support for Alli's candidacy and the need for a collective effort to secure victory in the 2027 elections.
