Oyo APC Commits to Free and Fair Direct Primaries

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the leadership of Chairman Mose Alak-Adeyemo, has pledged to conduct free, fair, and credible direct primaries for the upcoming 2027 elections. Alak-Adeyemo emphasized the party's commitment to ensuring that all aspirants are treated fairly in accordance with the principles of progressive democratic governance.

He stated that the party would leave no stone unturned to achieve this goal and would consider consensus arrangements if necessary. The APC Screening Appeal Committee, which includes former Ondo State House of Assembly Speaker Taofiq Abdussalam, has been tasked with ensuring that eligible aspirants participate in the primaries.

The committee members, including Kamal Sanusi, Smart Oluwol, Tund Kolad, Olabamiji Agunloy, Jibola Oduwol, Abimbola Jack, and Jelil Jimoh, are expected to conduct thorough screenings. Alak-Adeyemo confirmed that the primaries would involve every registered party member and that the process would be transparent and inclusive.
