Oyo APC Endorses Senator Alli as Gubernatorial Candidate

Oyo State APC leaders have officially endorsed Senator Sharafadeen Alli as their consensus gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections, sidelining Adebayo Adelabu, a former Minister of Power. This endorsement occurred during a high-level leadership summit held in Samonda, Ibadan, which aimed to consolidate unity within the party.

Senator Ayo Adeseun disclosed that the endorsement followed extensive consultations, including discussions with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Alhaji Fatai Ibikunl confirmed President Tinubu's backing of Alli's candidacy and urged party aspirants to align with the decision to promote unity.

The summit attracted a large number of party leaders and stakeholders from across the 33 local government areas of the state, highlighting the significance of the endorsement in presenting a united front. Senator Alli expressed gratitude for the support from party leaders and pledged to deliver inclusively in the upcoming elections, assuring members that they would not be disappointed.
